JOB DESCRIPTIONPosition: ReceptionJob Grade:Band 2Department:SRCS Mogadishu Rehabilitation CenterLocationAdmiration departmentReports To:Admin & Finance Manager.Direct Reports:Background:SRCS is an independent, non-political humanitarian organisation. It was established in April 1963 and became a legal entity following Presidential Decree No. 187 in 1965. SRCS has operated continuously throughout the country’s period of civil war and political divide and is credited for its unity as one National Society. It operates through a network of nineteen branches with activities spread all across the country.Overall Job PurposeThe Receptionist is an employee of the SRCS Rehabilitation Centre, Mogadishu. The position is in the Administration Department of the SRCS Rehabilitation Centre, which is part of the SRCS Rehabilitation Program for Disabled in Somalia, which again is a part of the Somali Red Crescent Society.Essential Duties & Responsibilities1)Ensure that reception is kept open and being manned throughout all working hours of the centre or whenever any patient or an employee of the centre right fully request services from the reception.2)Receive visitors and provide information related to the physical rehabilitation centre services3)Ensure that all sensitive information related to patients and / or the centre at large is properly taken care of and safely stored in a lock cabinet4)Register all new patients according to standing procedures and instructions and arrange appointment and waiting list with the physiotherapy, Orthopaedic department5)Update records /data entry and data analysis of PMS5.1 and DCMS.6)Prepare monthly statistics orthopaedic department of production7)Collect cost sharing money from the patients and submit to the finance office at the end of every month8)Filing client information cards to the cupboard9)At any time ensure the tidiness, cleanness and the upkeep of the reception10)Perform other related tasks as assigned by the supervisorReportinga)Every month presents to the admin/finance office statistics reports from the activities of the receptionb)Prepare at the end of the month cost sharing money and submit to admin/finance manager.Job CompetenciesDemonstrated experience of working in a busy environment.üDemonstrated consistency in upholding integrity and ethicsüDemonstrated knowledge and commitment to the fundamental principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.üActing as a team player and facilitating teamworküConsistently approaches work with energy and a positive attitudeüRemain calm, in control and good humored even under pressure;üRespond positively to critical feedback and differing points of view.üEffective communications and interpersonal skills.
