Mechanical Technician – Diesel Engines

BackgroundDaldhis Power Solutions, a Member of Daldhis Group of companies, is seeking aqualified and experienced Mechanical Technician to support its operations in themaintenance, troubleshooting, Midlife repair and Major Overhaul or engine rebuilding.The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in handling major diesel generator brandsand having enough knowledge in various types of control systems and electronic enginemodules (ECM).➢ Position: Mechanical Technician – Diesel Engines➢ Number of Positions: One➢ Report to: Technical Manager / Operations Manager➢ Duty Station: Hargaisa- with regions travel regularly.➢ Salary: as per Company salary Policy plus packages refer section 6 below➢ Starting date: ASAP➢ Probation period: 3-6 Months2. Scope of Work / Key Responsibilities• Perform diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel engines.• Carry out engine overhauling, rebuilding, and major mechanical repairs.• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel generator engines.• Work on major engine brands including Cummins, Caterpillar (CAT), Perkins,IVECO, MAN, and other equivalent brands.• Diagnose mechanical and electronic faults using OEM diagnostic tools and software.• Strip, inspect, measure, and assemble engine components.• Interpret engine manuals, service bulletins, and technical drawings.• Ensure engines operate within OEM performance standards.• Coordinate with electrical technicians during integrated troubleshooting.• Prepare service reports and maintenance records.• Comply with safety procedures and OEM standards.
